PROFILE

札幌市在住。東京理科大学理工学部卒業、北海道大学農学研究科修士課程修了。出産を機に、2009年から手芸によるアクセサリーの制作・販売を開始。近年は造形作品を、2017年から写真作品を発表しています。作品のテーマは主に生きものや自然を題材としています。

 

 

I live in Sapporo City, Hokkaido. I’m from Tokyo. I Graduated from the faculty of science and technology of Tokyo University of Science. Then I Graduated from the Hokkaido University Graduate School of Agriculture. I majored in plant physiology and plant physiological ecology. In 2009, I started producing and selling accessories by handicrafts a result of childbirth. In recent years, I also produce objects. Since 2017, I have published photographic works. My work focuses mainly on loving creatures and nature.

 

CONCEPT

学生時代に生物学を専攻したものの、「生命とは何か？」という根源的な問いを持ち続けてきました。そのため、日本に生まれ育つことで培われてきたアニミズム的視点に生物学的視点を加え、私自身（つまり人間）も含む生き物の生命について考察しながら作品を発表しています。

「全ての生命は最も尊く価値あるもの」という意図から、より身近に生命の魅力を伝えることを目的として作品を制作。生命の神秘、美しさ、儚さ、生々しさ、愛おしさ、ゆらぎ等、各々の生き物の持つ性質を伝えるべく、アクセサリー、オブジェの制作においては表現方法をその都度選択しています。写真作品では日常で見過ごされがちな小さな生命に価値を見出していくことを主軸としています。

多様な生き物の作品を作っていますが、それは生き物でもある私達自身の投影でもあると考えています。現代において、失われつつある小さな生命の価値が回復することを願っています。

 

 

I majored in biology when I was a student, but I always had the fundamental question “What is life?” Therefore, I have presented by adding a biological perspective to the animistic perspective cultivated by being born and raised in Japan, and considering the lives of living things, including myselfーthat is, human.

Based on the idea that “All life is the most precious and valuable thing”, I create works that convey the charm of life in a more familiar way.In order to convey the qualities of each living thing, such as the mystery, beauty, fragility, freshness, loveliness, and fluctuation of life, I choose the method of expression each time when creating accessories and objects.

The main focus of my photographic work is to find value in the tiny lives that are often overlooked in everyday life. I create works of diverse living things. I believe that they are also projections of ourselves as living organisms. I hope that we restore the value of small lives that are often overlooked in modern times. In modern times, I hope that the value of small lives that is being lost will be restored.
